Hand-painted evil eye design on clear glass, made by artisans in Jordan. Each glass shows small variations in the brushwork, since every piece is painted by hand rather than machine-made. The evil eye's traditional blue color comes from cobalt, historically a valued material in the Turkish and Greek glassmaking traditions where the charm is most closely associated.
